Bagby Airfield is a small airfield approximately 3 miles to the south of Thirsk, North Yorkshire. Basking in the sunshine of the Vale of York the Airfield is overlooked by Sutton Bank and its white horse. It provides a pleasant stop-off for visiting aircraft and offers refuelling (Avgas and Jet), lunches and cups of tea and coffee in addition to a licenced bar.
Coming under new ownership from 2006 the Airfield is looking to enhance its facilities and provide visitors with quality accommodation, spa and restaurant. It will be the ideal gateway to the North Yorkshire moors allowing fervent flyers a base whilst exploring the moors and all they have to offer. In addition, users of the new clubhouse will be enjoying the natural ambience and beauty of the country's largest rammed earth building, a major step in terms of sustainability.
